Ian Monk (born
1960 ) is a British writer and translator, based in Lille, France.Since
1998 , he has been a member of the French writing groupOulipo . Among his works in English are the books,Family Archaeology and Other Poems (2004 ) andWritings for the Oulipo (2005 ). His translations include several novels byDaniel Pennac , several works by his fellow OulipianGeorges Perec , and a rhymed translation ofRaymond Roussel 'sNew Impressions of Africa .
