FC Chornomorets Odessa ( _uk. ФК «Чорноморець») is a professional football club in the Ukrainian Premier League. The club's home ground is the 34,362 capacity Tsentralnyi-Chornomorets Stadium in the city of Odessa. Despite their official name being changed to FC Chornomorets (Ukrainian spelling) in 1991, many people refer to the club as FC Chernomorets (its Russian spelling). Promotions and demotions

The club was a founding member of the Ukrainian Premier League. After the 1997-98 season, the club was relegated to the Persha Liha. The club was then promoted back to the Premier League for the 1999-2000 season, but it took second-to-last place that year and was relegated again. Chornomorets resurfaced for the 2002-03 season and is currently in the Premier League.
