Centennial Regional High School (CRHS) is a co-ed comprehensive public high school located in the Greenfield Park borough of Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, a suburb of Montreal. It is Quebec's largest English-language high school, built in 1967 and named to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Canada's confederation. However, it only opened to students in 1972. There are over 2000 students who attend this school whose student body is rich in cultural diversity - most notably its Muslim and Asian communities.

Talented and Gifted (TaG) programme

Centennial has a special Talented and Gifted program (TaG programme) which was created by Dr. Cajetan Menke for advanced students. The program includes accelerated mathematics and science courses. Approximately seven percent of the school's 2000 students are enrolled in this program. [cite journal

Extracurricular activities

CRHS also has many extracurricular activities, including (but not limited to): The Follies (Centennial's variety show), Science Fair, Cultural Fair and Stock Exchange Competition. Centennial students have proven to be quite successful when it comes to science, regularly sending multiple award-winning representatives to the Bell Regional Science Fair.

In terms of sports, the school fields teams in badminton, basketball, cross country running, curling, field hockey, ice hockey and track and field. CRHS is regularly competitive on the regional and provincial levels in most sports. A lion's share of the teams participate in the SSIAA (South Shore Interscholastic Athletics Association) while some teams also play games in Montreal-based leagues.

The school also features a legal graffiti group known as "The Crew" organized by the school's spiritual animator; David Dupont.

Rep'N'June

During Rep'N'June, students in Middle School can take two courses for two weeks (such as Calligraphy, Fun with Fashion, Middle School Idol, etc.) or catch up on classes that have given them trouble during the year. This concept is an alternative for students who are borderline-passing some subjects and who would have otherwise repeated the course. This option was no longer available as of 2006-2007 school year.

News Publications

Centennial students receive the Spotlight, a school-distributed publication informing students and their parents of upcoming and past events throughout the school year. An additional news booklet, the Link, is distributed uniquely to middle school students for a more focused and in-depth look at school events and news-worthy happenings.
