Wicklow League and theAul , the highlight being narrowly beaten in theFAI Junior Cup final in 1968 by Finn Harps, they joined the Leinster Senior League in 1979. They appointed former Bohemians and Shelbourne playerDave Mason as coach and enjoyed ten years climbing the LSL, culminating in winning LSL Division 1 and awarded LSL Club of the Year in 1988. They also reached four cup finals in this time, losing them all. Crowds at the time for their games at Quinns Road often ran into hundreds. They reached the first round of theFAI Cup in 1986, losing 0-2 toMonaghan United at theCarlisle Grounds inBray before a crowd of 545. The club amalgamated withShankill Youth Club in 1988, moving to the Youth clubs ground atLoughlinstown Hospital . After Dave Mason left, they dropped down into Division 1 but again reached the first round of the FAI Cup, under the clubs former record goalscorerEddie Horan , losing 0-1 toRockmount inStradbrook in 1996.
