"Torn" is a song composed by the rock band Creed. It is off their 1997 album "My Own Prison". It is a misconception that after lead singer Scott Stapp was kicked out of a Christian school, he was living in an apartment with hardly anything at all, and that he just wrote his thoughts down on a piece of paper, which became the basis for this song. However, it was revealed by Michael Tremonti, Mark Tremonti's brother, that this song was actually written entirely by Mark.
