Peter Stringfellow

Peter Stringfellow (born 17 October 1940, Sheffield) is an English nightclub owner who has cultivated a "playboy" image in the British popular press. The son of a steelworker, he has owned or managed a number of clubs and entertainment businesses over the years, and currently owns the Stringfellow's table-dancing clubs in Dublin, London and Paris. At one point he opened a few clubs in the United States, but these were not very successful and have since closed.

Stringfellow claims to have slept with more than 3,000 women (which would mean, on average, more than one new woman per week if he started at the age of twelve).

He owns a home on the Spanish island of Majorca, where his UK-plated Mercedes SUV makes frequent appearances in the area of Puerto Portals. He is a regular contributor to the Majorca-based celebrity-spotting publication [http://www.celebritymallorca.com Celebrity Magazine] . He is known as a supporter of the UK Conservative Party.

Stringfellow appeared on a celebrity edition of "Come Dine With Me", aired on 17 September 2008 alongside fellow celebrities Lee Ryan, Michelle Heaton and Linda Barker. Peter finished in last place, scoring 13 points.
