Jacqueline Hassink is a
New York -based international conceptual artist who works primarily inphotography andfilm .Born in the
Netherlands in 1966, Hassink is most known for her global photo art projects that deal with the world of economic power. In a precise and almost scientific way she has mapped the economicglobalization of oursociety by focusing on globalFortune 500 companies since1993 . She has collaborated with the most powerfulCEO s in the world on projects that take place primarily in their headquarters.In her first art project, "The Table of Power", Hassink photographed the boardroom tables of
Europe ’s forty largestmultinational corporation s. The tables were photographed withoutpeople in the frame. The collaborating multinationals were asked to fill out aquestionnaire about these tables and the artist made drawings of the table setting during board meetings. Subsequently, Hassink worked on the global art projects "Female Power Stations: Queen Bees", "Mindscapes", "Car Girls", and "Arab Queen Bees".Her publications include "The Table of Power" (1996 and 2000), "Female Power Stations: Queen Bees" (1999), and "Mindscapes" (2003).
