List of VFL/AFL players by ethnicity

This is a listing of Australian Football League (formerly known as the VFL) players listed by their families' country of origin (not to be confused with ethnicity) and place of birth.

In 2004, the inaugural Multicultural Cup was held by Aussie Rules International, a competition in which players who had a parent or grandparent born overseas were allowed to play for that country (similar to the eligibility rules of many World Cup tournaments, such as the Rugby League World Cup). The Multicultural Cup celebrates multiculturalism that is vibrant in Australia, and in Australian rules football.
