Wisconsin ,United States . The population was 4,938 at the 2000 census. The village is located partially within the Town of Jackson.Geography

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 4,938 people, 1,949 households, and 1,393 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 1,959.5 people per square mile (756.6/km²). There were 2,011 housing units at an average density of 798.0/sq mi (308.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.52% White, 0.08% Black or African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.32% from other races, and 0.63% from two or more races. 1.24% of the population wereHispanic orLatino of any race.There were 1,949 households out of which 36.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.4% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.5% were non-families. 22.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the village the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 38.9% from 25 to 44, 18.1% from 45 to 64, and 9.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 99.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.6 males.
