Willis Marshall

Willis Thurman Marshall III (born 1975-08-12 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American football wide receiver/linebacker for the Georgia Force in the Arena Football League.

High school

Willis Marshall attended Brother Rice High School in Detroit, Michigan and was a student and competed in football, basketball and track. Marshall was a member of the football team that won the State Championship in 1990. [ [http://www.mhsaa.com/games/recfb.html#finals MHSAA Football Records] ]

College

Marshall attended Youngstown State University and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, Marshall won NCAA Division I-AA national championships in 1993, 1994 and 1997. He played for current Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel.

CFL

Marshall played the 1998 and 1999 seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders. The Stampeders won the 86th Grey Cup in 1998, with Jeff Garcia as their quarterback.

AFL

Marshall is in his 8th season in the Arena Football League. He has played for the Grand Rapids Rampage (2001-2003), the Colorado Crush (2004-2006), and the Dallas Desperados (2007). He won his first ArenaBowl as a member of the Rampage in ArenaBowl XV and his second with the Crush in ArenaBowl XIX. He signed a contract with the Georgia Force over the off-season.
