- John A. Sanford
John A. "Jack" Sanford (26 July 1929–17 October 2005) was a Jungian
psychoanalyst and Episcopalpriest . Jack was born in Moorestown, New Jersey, from both parents who were leaders in the spiritual healing movement. In his early twenties, he decided to follow the footsteps of his father (and his grandfather and his two great-grandfathers) and entered the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Cambridge, Mass., to prepare to be an Episcopal minister.He worked as a parish priest for 19 years then started private practice as a psychoanalyst focusing on
psychology ,religion and inner growth. He has been amentor for Journey into Wholeness since its beginning in 1977.He was the son of
Edgar L. Sanford , also an Episcopalian priest, as was his own father and grandfather, the author ofGod´s Healing Power and ofAgnes Sanford (1897-1982), the founder of theInner Healing Movement .He is the author of a number of books including:
