Coover was born in
Newark, Delaware . He received his B.S. from Hobart College and his M.S. and Ph.D. fromCornell University . Coover invented the cyanoacrylateadhesive called "super glue" while working atEastman Kodak in 1942. He holds 460 patents and is responsible for advances in the fields of graftpolymerization ,organophosphorus chemistry, andolefin polymerization.He resides in resides in
