Brad Ellis is a composer, musical director, orchestrator and jazz pianist know for his long time association with
FORBIDDEN BROADWAY , the recordings produced byBruce Kimmel with his Brad Ellis Little Big Band, and arranging, orchestrating and conducting members of the LA Philharmonic Orchestra for "Music Matters" on the "Unexpected Dreams- Songs from the Stars" album with Scarlett Johannsson, Jeremy Irons, Victor Garber and many other TV and film stars. He is the composer of the original music in THE TIN PAN ALLEY RAG, written by Mark Saltzman, licensed through the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization. He has composed or played piano for many TV shows and films such as "Gilmore Girls","Close to Home", "Delovely" and the"Beauty and the Beast" (DVD special features) He created, with Jason Alexander, "Seven Broadway Shows in 7 Minutes" a witty and complex medley for Mr. Alexander to perform with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra at John Mauceri's induction into the "Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame" at the opening of the Bowl's 2007 Summer season. Most recently, Mr. Ellis orchestrated and arranged "Waltz Variations no.2 op.5" by Billy Joel, as a world premiere, for Christoph Eshenbach and the Philadelphia Orchestra for the Academy of Music's 151st Gala celebration. He currently resides in Los Angeles and is married to actress/singer Eydie Alyson.
