Pecheneg language is the extinct Turkic language spoken by the Pechenegs in Eastern Europe.

It is most likely a member of the Oghuz branch of the Turkic familyFact|date=February 2008, but the poor documentation to it and the absence of any descendant languages of Pecheneg has prevented linguists from making a definite classification; most experts would be fairly confident in placing it among the Oghuz languagesFact|date=February 2008, but would refuse to classify it further. Though, according to Linguist List [http://linguistlist.org/forms/langs/LLDescription.cfm?code=xpc Linguist List] ] , it is a member of the Ponto-Caspian languages, which is a subgroup of the Kypchak languages.
