Remi August Balduck (March 30, 1918, Detroit, Michigan–November 9, 1942) enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on September 4, 1940.

Corporal Balduck was killed in action on November 9, 1942, aged 24, while repulsing a Japanese frontal attack against American positions on Guadalcanal. For his actions he was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross.

Namesake

In 1944, the high-speed transport USS "Balduck" (APD-132) was named in his honor.
