college football at theUniversity of Nevada and was drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the1993 NFL Draft where he was used as a backup for his first two seasons before getting the chance to start in the 1995 NFL season having sixinterception s for forty yards and one touchdown. He also had an interception inSuper Bowl XXX . Marion was hurt for most of the 1996 season before having a career high in tackles in 1997 with one hundred.Marion signed as a
free agent with the Dolphins in 1998 where he made seventy-two tackles and no interceptions that season. In 1999, Marion was used as the mainkick returner , getting 62 returns for a league leading 1,532 yards, including a return of 93 yards. Marion stayed with the team until 2003 season.Marion signed with the
Detroit Lions in 2004 where he played one season, starting all sixteen games with them, making sixty-six tackles and three interceptions before being cut by the Lions in asalary cap move onApril 25 ,2005 and was replaced byTerrence Holt as starter in free safety.Marion retired with 676 career tackles, two quarterback sacks, 31 interceptions for 537 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned 123 kickoffs for 2,951 yards.
