Hoinga (pronounced "ho-in-ga") is a
vernacular term spoken widely in centralIndia . It is a distorted term for "desired" inHindi . It usually speaks of the aspirations ofmiddle class society and the linguistic contribution they make towards the vocabulary of Hindi.This word is one of the many examples of mixing of various regional languages in India. For example, "timepass " has made its place in the Indian-English (Hinglish ) language, though it was not there originally in British-English.Related : other terms popularly used in central India are "daaru hona" (which means i want alcohol) , the term " Hona " pronounced hoe-na-aa is also very popular , it is the abstracted form of the phrase "hona chahiya" which is common place in Hindi, these terms are widely used by the people of chhota nagpur plateau , Deccan plateau and some parts of Madhya Pradesh
