Bures St. Mary is a civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 899.

The parish covers the eastern part of the village of Bures, the western part being in the Bures Hamlet parish in Essex.

Alan Beales a local resident has spent the last ten years documenting the village history from 1900 up to the present day. In particular looking at the lost retail outlets and local industries that have disappeared during this time.
