† Appearances (Goals).Milan Fukal (born 16 May 1975 in Jablonec nad Nisou) is a Czech footballer[1] currently playing for FC Hradec Králové.
The defender began his career with FK Jablonec. In 1999, he was bought by Czech champion team Sparta Prague and called up by the Czech national team, for whom he won 19 caps (two goals).
His participation in the Euro 2000 gained the attraction of Bundesliga team Hamburger SV, who brought him to Germany. Ahead of the 2004–05 season he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach to stay on with them until the start of the 2006–07 season. Following a trial week at Leeds United, and an interest in his services from Manchester City, he was poised to switch to England. However, both clubs did not follow up their interest and though Fukal and Mönchengladbach agreed on a contract cancellation that allowed the player to move back home to Jablonec nad Nisou to sign a deal with hometown side FK Jablonec.
