La Ofensiva

La Ofensiva was a campaign during the Cuban Revolution in the Sierra Maestra in the summer of 1958 and was a major defeat for the Batista government forces . La Ofensiva is the name used by the Castro forces to describe the campaign. The defeated called it Operación Verano. Major combatants included: Huber Matos, Camilo Cienfuegos, and Daniel (René Ramas Latour).
