Avri Ran

Avri Ran is one of the founders and spiritual leaders of the right-wing Israeli Hilltop Youth movement. He owns a big organic farm called Gva'ot Olam near the settlement of Itamar in the West Bank.

The village of Yanun was temporarily abandoned in October 2004 when the harassment of the village by Avri Ran and his Hilltop Youth became intolerable, leaving behind only two aged people who refused to accept the village decision to go. David Nir of Ta'ayush was assaulted by Avri Ran in Yanun.
