K. S. Eshwarappa

is a senior politician in Karnataka state India today. He was also president of Bharatiya Janata Party state unit. Now he is an MLA from Shimoga and BJP Leader.

Currently he is Holding Minister of power in the newly formed Government headed by sri B.S.Yadiyurappa. In he last coaliation Government he was Minister for Water Resources Department.K.S.Eshwarappa...was born in Bellary on 10th july 1948..His father,late sri Sharanappa mooved to shimoga in early 50's...he worked in Bhoopalam Areca Mandi and even his mother worked in the same mandi as a daily wages worker. when Eshwarappaalso tried to go to the Mandi to work with his parents....his mother slapped him and said, he should learn and becomebig man and make name in the society.. That was the inspiration he got in his early days which eventually led him to theposition he has now He completed his Commerce Graduation from Nation Commerce College, shimoga. while he was studying he become the studentsunion leader. That was his first social election. HE used to play kho kho and football in his school days.. he was alsoa singer in his early days.. He had a good batch of students as his classmates and one amongst them was sri Da.Ma.Ravindranow, prant pracharak of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh (R.S.S)

Late Sri Narasimha Murthy Iyengaar, a known V.H.P leader took him to R.S.S Shaka in his early days...we was given the trainingof national integration, social love and service motivation there. He used to be a side drum player in the Patha Sanchalanas.

While he was a student he was attracted and worked in Akhil Bharateeya Vidyarthi Parishat (A.B.V.P) a student wing of R.S.S. After his completion of his degree he started his own small business in shimoga city. He also involved himeself with the thenBharateeya Jana Sangh.

In emergency,,(1975-77) he was arrested and was sent to Bellary Jail. Afer the emergency..he was very active in polliticsHe worked in different capacities and in 1982, he become the president of the Shimoga city unit of B.J.P. His personalefforts was one of the main reasons to make Anandarao to win from shimoga..as the first ever B.J.P candidate.

In 1989,,he become the candidate from shimoga....and it was his first ever election in his political life. He defeated aheavy weight, a sitting M.L.A and the then health Minister sri K.H.Srinivas with a margin of 1304 votes. He become a statename with this vicotry.

Then he become the President of the state unit of the Yuvamorcha of B.J.P in 1992. He then defeated the same srinivas, in 19
