Following a stellar college career atVanderbilt University , in which he was namedSoutheastern Conference player of the year and SEC male athlete of the year in 1988, he was selected by theChicago Bulls , 11th overall in the1988 NBA Draft . He averaged 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over a thirteen year career. In 1995, Perdue was sent to theSan Antonio Spurs in a trade forDennis Rodman . Perdue won his fourth NBA championship with the Spurs in 1999.In August 1999, Perdue signed as free agent with the
Chicago Bulls . He started 15 of 67 games, averaging 2.5 points and 3.9 rebounds. After the 1999-2000 season, Perdue left Chicago and signed with thePortland Trail Blazers , where he averaged 1.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 4.5 minutes in 13 games. He is now a basketball analyst forESPN and resides in Louisville, Kentucky.
