St. Paul's Co-educational (Macdonnell Road) Primary School

St. Paul's Co-educational (Macdonnell Road) Primary School is one of the two affiliated primary schools of St. Paul's Co-educational College, Hong Kong, with the campus at 33 Macdonnell Road.

History

It was founded in 1915 at Glenealy as St. Paul's Co-educational Primary School, and was moved to Calder Path (junction Macdonnell Road) in 1953. The school was changed from full-day into AM and PM modes. In 1999, both primary schools resumed full-day education. St. Paul's Co-educational PM Primary School moved to the current site at Kennedy Road, and changed to the present name. The AM school remains at Macdonnell Road and was renamed accordingly.In 2006, the primary schools merged together and was renamed St. Paul's Co-educational Primary School.

Mode

SPCMRPS is a DSS school.

The campus

The campus of the school was directly linked with the secondary school campus, although students are not allowed without permission or supervision to cross over to the other side.

*First Floor: Kennedy Road Exit via Caldar Path, opposite SPCC Alumi Association Office; Basketball Court and covered playground with table tennis section; library.

*Second Floor to Fifth Floor: Primary One to Six Classrooms, 3 on each floor, two classes per years. Higher years on higher floors. The List below states the rooms other than the classrooms.

*Second Floor: Staff Room; tea room; 3 Special Rooms.

*Third Floor: Art Room; Secondary school canteen (restricted to staff and secondary school students).

*Fourth Floor: Macdonnell Road Exit; Music Room; School Office and Principal's Office. Stairs leading from third floor canteen straight up to sixth and seventh floors accessible pass the offices from the entrance of school. Restricted to staff use.

*Fifth Floor: Used to contain library. Chapel of secondary school, inaccessible by primary school students.

*Sixth and Seventh Floors: Secondary school premises. Students of both schools not allowed to cross into each other's premises. Staircases are segregated on fifth floor with plastic chains or linen rope.

Future

The school will be relocated to Nam Fung Path in Wong Chuk Hang when the construction new campus is completed.
