Further Influence

"Texas Funeral" is the name of a band currently playing in Oxford, MS. Original members, Grantley Rushing and Jason Pardun, were heavily inspired by the band "Jon Wayne", and, having met in Texas, decided to take the name of their favorite band's first album. They started playing under the name "Texas Funeral" in 1997 in Seattle. The current lineup includes: Grantley on guitar, voice and harmonica; Jason on bass; Matt Tamke on drums. Past members, all on drums, were Ken Viste, Brent Carpenter, Tyler Simon.
