The Man vs Machine World Team Championship is a chess tournament held in Bilbao, in the Basque region of Spain. It is also known as "People vs. Computers World Team Match".
2004
The first event was held in October, 2004, with the computers winning by a score of 8.5 to 3.5. The human participants were: Ruslan Ponomariov, former FIDE champion, Veselin Topalov, former FIDE champion, and Sergey Karjakin, who at the age of 12 became the youngest Grandmaster in history.
The machines were represented by Hydra, possibly the strongest chess computer in history, Fritz 8, and Deep Junior. The humans won only one game, when Karjakin (the youngest and lowest rated player) defeated Deep Junior. Results of each game are listed below:

2005
The tournament was held again in November, 2005, with Ruslan Ponomariov, Rustam Kasimdzhanov, and Alexander Khalifman, all former FIDE champions. This time the computers won by a score of 8 to 4. The computers were again represented by Hydra, Junior and Fritz. Results of each game are shown below:
