Engine =The NSB BM93 is a tilting two-carriage
diesel multiple unit used byNorges Statsbaner for passenger trains on unelectrified stretches of the Norwegian railway system, in particularNordlandsbanen ,Rørosbanen andRaumabanen . The trains are produced byBombardier and are part of the Talent family.The trains were built in
2001 , and replaced several of the old locomotive-hauled trains. A total of 15 trains have been built. Use of this train for theTrondheim -Bodø day train on Nordlandsbanen, the longest railway line in Norway, has been somewhat controversial because of the inferior comfort level. On the other hand, the introduction of these new trains has allowed higher speeds. In February 2007, NSB announced that the day train which runs the entire distance from Trondheim to Bodø would be operated by traditional trains with locomotives and carriages again.
