Pierre Labric

Pierre Labric (born 1921 in Rouen) is a French organist, pedagogue and composer.

Pierre Labric studied at the Paris Conservatory with Marcel Dupré and Maurice Duruflé. Later, he studied organ with Jeanne Demessieux, whose complete organ works he recorded on LP. During Jeanne Demessieux's tenure as titular organist at La Madeleine in Paris, he was one of her substitute organists.Pierre Labric also recorded the organ symphonies of Louis Vierne and Charles-Marie Widor (both as world premiere recordings) and the Preludes and Fugues of Camille Saint-Saëns. For many years he held the post of titular organist at St. Ouen, Rouen, with its famous Cavaillé-Coll organ.
