Sheer thinning

Sheer thinning

Sheer thinning is a property of pseudoplastic material such as ketchup, whipped cream, blood, paint, nail polish and certain plastics. These are all normally thick like honey but can become thin and flow freely when shaken or stirred. This feature is called sheer thinning.
