The Lantau Trail is divided into 12 stages.
#Mui Wo to Nam Shan, 2.5 km, 0.75 hours, easy
#Nam Shan to Pak Kung Au, 6.5 km, 2.75 hours, very difficult
#Pak Kung Au to Ngong Ping, 4.5 km, 2.25 hours, very difficult
#Ngong Ping to Shum Wat Road, 4.0 km, 1.25 hours, fairly difficult
#Shum Wat Road to Man Cheung Po, 7.5 km, 2.75 hours, fairly difficult
#Man Cheung Po to Tai O, 2.5 km, 1.0 hours, fairly difficult
#Tai O to Kau Ling Chung, 10.5 km, 3.0 hours, very difficult
#Kau Ling Chung to Shek Pik, 5.5 km, 1.5 hours, fairly difficult
#Shek Pik to Shui Hau, 6.5 km, 2.0 hours, easy walk
#Shui Hau to Tung Chung Road, 6.5 km, 2.0 hours, easy walk
#Tung Chung Road to Pui O, 4.5 km, 1.25 hours, easy walk

The Phoenix Walkathon is a fund raising event held by Hong Kong Ecotourism Society which aims at promoting the academic and educational messages of ecotourism. The Phoenix Walkathon is held along the 70-km Lantau Trail every year.
