"The Notorious Notations" is an accompanying book to "A Series of Unfortunate Events", a book series by Lemony Snicket. It has quotes from the series on "almost every page" and is very similar to "The Blank Book". As with "The Blank Book", it is intended to be used as a commonplace book, or simply as a diary or journal, for fans of the series.
