SC Dynamo Berlin . Her coach was Heidemarie Seiner-Walther. However she still skated for the club SC Karl-Marx-Stadt until 1973 before she changed the club as well. Her pair skating partner wasRolf Österreich since.Romy Kermer and Rolf Österreich won the silver medal at the Winter Olympics 1976 in
Innsbruck .After their figure skating career they married each other.
Romy Österreich is now figure skating coach at the club SC Berlin. One of her students
