Historic garden conservation

Historic garden conservation is a specialised type of historic preservation concerned with gardens. Practitioners tend to come from backgrounds in horticulture, garden design or landscape architecture. To prepare a management plan for a historic garden, such experts require knowledge and skills in design, horticulture, history and management. Specialist educational programmes are available.
