B.A. atHofstra University and herJ.D. atSeton Hall University . She was admitted to the bar in 1978, and at the California bar in 1991.In 1994, Kobrin and the lawfirm Bowles & Moxon were ordered to pay sanctions of $17,775 for filing a frivolous complaint in federal court against Frank Gerbode, a former Scientologist. She caused controversy in the mid-1990s when she tried to get the
