Interactive Networks Inc. is a privately held software company focused on developing advanced instant messaging solutions since 2001. Its headquarters are located in Montevideo, Uruguay, a country that is quickly gaining a reputation as ‘South America's Bombay' for being the leading software exporter in South America. Why not Uruguay? |last=Goodman |first=Joshua |publisher=Latin Trade |month=January |year=2004]

The company has been selling instant messaging solutions since 2001 and there are currently over 200.000 people in 215 countries using its products and solutions. Its customers span widely from private and public companies of all sizes to private labels. Additionally, Interactive Networks Inc. currently maintains reseller partnerships in North and Latin America, Asia and Europe in order to better serve the specific needs of every customer.

Beginnings

On June 2000 the company officially started its activity launching their first software product, which allowed each user to create their own "place" on the Internet. It went under the name of "Espacio Interactivo" and enabled the creation of forums, chat channels, file and image transfers and hyperlinking.

Despite the great feedback received on the product it did not survive the Dot Com Crisis that later occurred. It was decided, then, to apply all technological developments seized so far on an entirely new product, the Instan-t Messenger, Interactive Networks Inc.'s first steps into instant messaging solutions.

Currently, the company specializes on custom and personalized solutions which are adapted to fit the customer's needs. Interactive Networks Inc. is a member of the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies ( [http://www.cuti.org.uy CUTI] ) and Pablo Salomon, its CEO, has been selected as a member of its board of directors.
