Gustavo Alberto Ramirez Reyes (commonly known as Gus Reyes) is a Mexican musician and composer primarily focused on film scores.

Born in México City on June 27, 1977, Reyes was a stubborn kid with incredible musical capacities and amazing creativity. He began his studies in music at the age of 8. His father, Jesus Gustavo Ramírez Avila, student of the great guitar players Manuel López Ramos (México 1929-2006) and Andrés Segovia (Spain, 1893-1987), was his first teacher in music. After that came a very long walk through many important music institutes ending with his application to the "Cardenal Miranda Institute", where Reyes spent most of his youth studying music. Great Mexican teachers had been part of his education, like Xavier Gonzalez Texcucano (Composer, Orchestral and Choral Director), Luis Armando Elias Chain (Composer), Philippe H. Tolon (Lead Violinist), Juan Trigos (Composer), Jorge Torres Sáenz (Composer), Jaime Uribe (Composer and Musical analyst), among others. He placed all his capacities in studying and practicing composition for images (such as films, documentaries and TV shows), aiming to develope his talent in this specific industry. He studied the careers of Composer, Orchestral and Choral Direction and Musicology. He speaks English and Italian, beside studies in Latin.
