November 30 ,1968 inEl Paso, Texas ) is an American contemporary,minimalist poet who lives inVirginia .Laine is a two-time
Pushcart Prize Nominee (2004 and 2005). She has written three full-length volumes of poetry: "Allegory", "The Weight Of Dust", and "Postcards From A Summer Girl" and threechapbook s ("Suburban Fairy Tales of Brilliant Ash and Blue Sins", withMichael Paul Ladanyi ; "Alice in Wonderland"; "Origami Flower"). She is the editor ofLittle Poem Press , VLQ ("Verse Libre Quarterly ") and co-editor of "Erosha ". Her work has appeared in several anthologies and countless publications, both in print and online. She released her first spoken wordCD , "Conversations in a Basement", in September 2005.April of 2006 marked the release of the hurricane relief anthology "Washing the Color of Water Golden," (ISBN 1-933242-23-X) which she edited, which included poetry by
