The World Cyber Games 2005 was held in

Opening ceremony

16 November The opening ceremony officially indicated the beginning of WCG 2005 Grand Final. Over 700 players from 67 countries, national partners, VIPs, sponsors, and spectators attended the opening ceremony.
Pre-show
Time: 5:20 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The pre-show consisted of the performances of famous cheer leaders and the Singapore Heart Beat.
The ceremony
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The ceremony started officially with the entrance of VIPs and MCs, followed by the ingress of 67 teams, carrying their national flags, who had advanced from their nations' preliminaries. Once the representative of WCG 2005 Grand Final Host City, Singapore, announced the opening of WCG 2005 Grand Final, the torch was lit and WCG flags raised, after which the players and referees then took oaths of fair play in front of the spectators.

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
'3Dash1', the winners of
The Straits Times 2005 School of Rock Competition, and Sheikh Haikel, the winner of the regional talent show Asia bagus, performed in the opening performance, while Syarif, Nathan Hartono, Debbie Christine, and Meryl Joan Lee appeared in a local celebrity show.Conference
