Taldra, South Australia

Taldra (coord|34|21|S|140|50|E|type:city_region:AU-SA, postcode 5311), once referred to as the "Tragedy Creek" of Australia by the New York Times, is now a rather anonymous, small town in an agriculturally rich region of Southern Australia. The aborigional word "taldra" means kangaroo.

Taldra is in the District Council of Loxton Waikerie local government area, the South Australian House of Assembly electoral district of Chaffey and the Australian House of Representatives Division of Barker.
