Ishaq Khan Khakwani

Ishaq Khan Khakwani is the minister of state for information and technology. Mr. Khakwani belongs to a political family from southern Punjab. Mr. Khakwani joined politics with the PPP-SB (Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto group) but after the death of the party leader Mir Murtaza Bhutto he joined the PML-Q (Pakistan Muslim League Q), It was from this party that he won his National assembly seat against a political stalwart Tehmina Daultana from Vehari.

It is important to note that Mr.Khakwani is not a political stalwart in Pakistani politics and is a deputy minister in the ministry of railways. He also contested for the position of Secretary General of PML Q against Mushahid Hussain but then changed his mind in contesting with Mr.Hussain, the current Secretary General of the ruling party.
