Kicked in the Nuts

"Kicked in the Nuts" was created in August 2003 for the Channel 101 short film festival as a spoof of hidden camera shows. It was written, directed, produced, and edited by Mike Henry and Patrick Henry. Mike Henry, dressed in a blue jump-suit, sunglasses, and a bright orange afro wig, gives supposedly unknowing victims a firm “kick in the nuts”. Each victim at first seems to be angered and confront their attacker (or in some cases begin to attack back), but Mike quickly explains that they have been victims of the show "Kicked in the Nuts". At this point, the victim laughs and acts pleased to be part of the show. The show was canceled the following month. It is set to be released on DVD in late 2008.

The show is staged, as the titular act would be considered battery and subject to prosecution. This is further evident from the victim’s unrealistic reactions and that there are attacks on children. The show uses a laugh track and generic audience footage from various television shows.

The "Kicked in the Nuts" prankster was featured in the "Family Guy" episode “The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire,” written by Mike and Patrick, in which Mike provides voices for a few characters, including Cleveland. Peter gets unexpectedly kicked in the nuts by the prankster and tells his audience that he found a victim so they can applaud for him. One of the later episodes of "KITN" featured Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane receiving the titular "honor".

"Kicked in the Nuts" was featured in the “Two Balls, Two Strikes” episode of "My Name Is Earl" on 19 April 2007.
