L Arnold Hustad

Dr. L. Arnold Hustad is a current Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Crown College in Saint Bonifacius, MN. He received his BA from St. Paul Bible College (now Crown College) in 1969, an M.Div and Th.M from Bethel Seminary in St Paul and completed his Ph.D at New York University (NYU). His most notable work is "Introducing Christian Doctrine," a textbook for introducing students to Christian Theology. This title was edited from Millard Erickson's work "Christian Theology" by Dr. Hustad at the request of Dr. Erickson. Dr. Hustad is a former student of Erickson's from Bethel Seminary.

Currently, Dr. Hustad is a member and affiliated with The Evangelical Theological Society.

Professor Hustad's teaching style tends to be Socratic in nature allowing him to debate from either side of a given topic. This allows for the students to fully understand the nature of the topic and freely choose their personal perspective.

Dr. Hustad is a "Star Trek" fan and as such uses references to the series in many of his analogies as a part of his teaching.

Dr. Hustad has a healthy rivalry with colleague George Gianoulis, Professor of Greek and New Testament at Crown College.
