Dominic Cork moved to Lancashire andMichael Di Venuto moved back toAustralia due to an injured back. Sutton kept wicket for the Derbyshire side and provided solid middle-order batsmanship, but later he too moved to Lancashire.Prior to playing for Derbyshire, Sutton also played for Somerset in
1997 and1998 . He signed for Lancashire in 2006 as a replacement forWarren Hegg . On 9th August 2006, Sutton recorded his first century for Lancashire in the Roses match against Yorkshire, accumulating an unbeaten 151. This is a record as the highest scoring wicket keeper in a Roses match.He recently got married to his fiancée, Jude Hughes and they are expecting twins.
