Efe Echanomi (born September 27, 1986 in England) is a football (soccer) striker playing for Tiptree United [http://www.tiptreeunited.com/article.php?ArticleID=948] having signed from Leyton Orient F.C. in August 2008. Echanomi signed for Orient, who are his first professional club, in late 2004 and has since scored 8 league goals in 34 appearances. Echanomi primarily acts as a "super sub" for Orient, with 30 of his appearances being as a substitute. He is renowned for celebrating his goals with multiple somersaults.

Echanomi spent 15 months injured due to having broken his leg in a freak accident before a home game against Chester City in December 2005. Warming up with some other players he caught his studs in the turn and suffered a horrendous injury. He made his long awaited comeback as a substitute against Doncaster Rovers in April 2007.

Efe now has his very own chant, to the sound of The Piranhas and their hit "Tom Hark" - "Do,Do,Do,Do.....Echanomi" which was first prominent in the away fixture with Southend United. On 7th may 2008 he was given he contract release from the club

On the 18th June it was reported that Luton Town manager Mick Harford was interested in signing the 21 year old. He signed for Tiptree United on 29 August 2008.
