Dirt Merchants

Dirt Merchants

Dirt Merchants was a seminal rock band that emerged out of the thriving Boston alterna-scene of the early 1990s. After releasing a handful of singles on the V-Hold Label, the group was signed to indie label Zero Hour in 1994, releasing the critically acclaimed "Scarified." Epic Records then signed the band later that year and re-released "Scarified." "The Speed At Which You Speak," produced by Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf was never released. The limited edition V-Hold EP, "Swiss Bank EP" was re-released in 1997. After the dissolution of Dirt Merchants Maria Christopher went on to form the band 27 and Mike Malone began performing solo as Orb Mellon.
