Mati Laur in 2010

Mati Laur (born June 17, 1955 in Abja-Paluoja) is an Estonian historian. He has written many books about early modern period in Livonia and is co-author of many textbooks. He is also professor of general history in University of Tartu.

Together with Karsten Brüggemann, Laur is publisher of international historical journal Forschungen zur Baltische Geschichte (Surveys of History of Baltics).
