Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) Light Aid Detachment (LAD). The LAD is responsible for maintaining and repairing the unit's vehicles and equipment, including its fleet of Land Rovers and theSA-80 A2 rifle.Many members of the Regiment have served alongside their regular counterparts on operations all over the world, including on
Operation Herrick inAfghanistan and Operation TELIC inIraq .This year saw 15 members of the regiment, deploy with
22th Signal Regiment toAfghanistan .The regiment provides support to the
