2007 unrest

On the night of 25 November 2007, youths attacked a police station in Villiers-le-Bel, torched cars, and vandalized stores. The violence was prompted by the deaths of two adolescents after a crash between their motorbike and a police patrol car at an intersection. Miscellaneous

Villiers-le-Bel was the birthplace of Alexandre Beljame (1842-1906), writer. Villiers le Bel is also home to many of France's top rappers such as Armaguedon, kazkami, Arsenik, K.ommando Toxik, Sboko, Makiavelik, and CH3.
