Dr. Paloma Gay y Blasco is a social anthropologist specialising in gender and Gypsies. She is a full-time lecturer at
University of St Andrews and has published two book and several articles, including "Gypsies in Madrid: Sex, Gender, and the Performance of Identity" (1999) and "We Don't Know Our Descent: How Gitanos Manage the Past", which appeared in the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute (2001).References
