Bill Wedderburn, Baron Wedderburn of Charlton

Kenneth William Wedderburn, Baron Wedderburn of Charlton, QC, (born April 13, 1927), is a British politician and member of the House of Lords, first affiliated with the Labour Party, became a crossbench member, but has now re-joined the Labour party (2007) [ [http://www.dodonline.co.uk/engine.asp?lev1=4&lev2=38&menu=81&biog=y&id=26559 DoD Online Biography] ] .

After graduating in law from Queens' College, Cambridge, he served in the RAF for two years. Since then, he has had a long career in labour law, created a life peer with the title Baron Wedderburn of Charlton [ Wedderburn chose this title as a tribute to his favourite football team Charlton Athletic F.C. Employment Law lectures at LSE "passim"] , of Highgate in the County of Greater London in 1977.

He is an Honorary Associate of the National Secular Society and a Distinguished Supporter of the British Humanist Association.
